Hey congrats, didn’t realize you were such a youngin’.
Thanks - Yes, when I went to CHSH last year, I’d only been on Twitter 14 months. A buddy of mine kept reading me Badbanana Olympic Tweets one evening at bowling. I got an account that night and then started my dark spiral toward addiction.
I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve really cried in the last decade. I don’t mean a tear or two, but a genuine physical manifestation of the torrential flood of emotion flowing from my heart, to my eyes and down my cheeks. When I moved away from Cleveland, the first fifteen minutes of Up, several weddings, when the Browns lose and every time I see a advertisement for The Phantom...
Favorite Tweet Meme
Not my most popular or most retweeted, but this is probably my favorite. Link so you can love it again like it’s the first time (especially if it is the first time).
No Meeting Mondays
Imagine a Monday morning unlike any other. It’s a better Monday; one where you don’t get to the office after huffing exhaust fumes during your commute, or having a perfume induced allergy attack after being forcibly snuggled up next to a 55–year-old administrative assistant on the train and have to run to your first meeting. A meeting where you aren’t prepared because no one remembers what the...
It’s a real challenge when your brain chemistry says “hey! It’s a great time of year to be bummed out” but your rational mind knows that it’s just the weather.
I’m not particularly concerned about who plays me in a movie about my life as much as I am that Hollywood brings Hunter S. Thompson back from the dead to write my biopic.
Just Remember
hiimles:
We can’t be interesting everyday.
We can’t be funny everyday.
We can’t be truthful everyday.
Hell, we can’t even be ourselves everyday.
But, on those days we can, it’s magic.
It’s what makes it all worthwhile.
For us and our followers.
I like this very much.

Humans, by nature, are inconsistent so I force myself to be tolerant of hypocritical behavior, because I will be a hypocrite at some point too. What I can stand, however, is people who are sanctimonious hypocrites and don’t even have the cognitive complexity to understand the inherent inconsistencies in their own beliefs.

TCFU 3
In case you missed this on one of the other 600,000,000 social media applications, TCFU 3 will be happening March, 3rd.
It’ll be a nice warm-up for TCFU4 which (shhhhh) will be a Minnesota State Fair tweet-up.
So there’s that.

OMG! You’re totally serious about this curling thing! Wow, I may have to stop following you now….. ;-)
I never kid about adult recreational sports (well I do kid about them). But yes, I do curl, as well as play soccer and broomball in the winter. You’d think I’d be skinnier.

Why?
Why are you people still awake? It’s 12:30 central and y’all should be in bed getting a good night’s rest so you are prepared to grab Sunday by the balls. Who am I kidding? While not as breathtakingly boring as when I was a child a few decades ago, Sunday is the one day a week that is the exact opposite of grabbing life and living it to its fullest—unless you like...

CHSH
I just booked my tickets for Chicago… so there’s that.
2880 Minutes of Silence
So they let me be all “non-work” in my latest piece for work. I actually think this one is kind of fun.
We were somewhere northbound on Minnesota Highway 61, of Bob Dylan’s Highway 61 Revisited, when I posted a photo to Twitter of me at an ice bar enjoying a frosty beverage and shivering. Shortly after that picture, I went silent for nearly forty-eight hours. As we continued ...
Observations from the Woods
The funny thing about lodges and campgrounds and other places people go to get away from other people is how friendly they all seem to be. In every National Park or Forest, everyone is as neighborly as someone from a 1950’s sitcom. The reality is just a touch different though. The reality is that behind that glowing smile, hearty “hello” and generally happy façade is the subtext that they are...

:/ I played lacrosse while it rained but that was fun and then there was lightning and lacrosse uses aluminum sticks and then it stopped being fun.
I play soccer in the rain and have a blast. However, it’s not going to be awesome when my clothes weight 8000 lbs and I’m sliding around on the...

Surveillance Secrets
flyoverfi:
Sometimes I imagine that my communications are being tracked by the Government (note the capital G). I wonder what they make of my recent text to @FlyoverJoel that said nothing more than FUCKING CLOWN FLOATIES. I’m now probably on some Patriot Act watch list.
But c’mon - FUCKING CLOWN FLOATIES!
50 degrees today and we are going to play broomball tonight, outdoors, ON ICE!...
Whining
I played in the Sanchez Cup today which is a charity soccer tournament. From 10 AM to 2:45 PM, we had FIVE soccer games of 30 minutes each. To put that in perspective, one normal 11’s game is 90 minutes and you don’t run the entire time. This was short field 7’s, which for the field players means non-stop sprinting the entire time. As a goalie, I spent the afternoon doing my...

I Like You 65
I need to go to bed, but Tumblr I like you 65 tonight night. I totally do……
Although reading through 65 pages of your thoughts and pictures and animated GIF’s is tiring. Have a good night.
